My family and I recently spent a delightful New Year's getaway at Johnston Canyon Lodge & Bungalows, where the stunning beauty of the Canyon enveloped us. Walking along the trail with my wife and kids, we were awed by the cascading glacial waterfalls, truly a sight to behold! Returning to our Classic Bungalow, we enjoyed a cozy dinner on the patio, complete with a nice bottle of wine as we savored the serene backdrop of the snow-capped mountains. The spirits of youth shone brightly in the charming atmosphere of the Lodge, where my children relished the nostalgic vibes from the old-fashioned soda shop. Unfortunately, the magic dimmed when we faced a rodent issue in our kitchen during the night, overshadowed by a lack of proactive customer service response. Despite this hiccup, the overall experience of nature's gentle embrace and the warm hospitality of the staff, particularly Sadio and Alba, left a lasting impression on us. For those who adore history and the great outdoors as much as I do, Johnston Canyon Lodge is a lovely start to adventure-filled days, with its rustic charm and unique dining options set against the backdrop of Canadian Rockies. I do hope that the rodent troubles are resolved for a truly splendid stay for all future guests.
